Another flaw of a Chinese product

Worked great for 6 weeks then idle started jumping between 1100-2000rpm. Get what you pay for and China got a few bucks more from me. I installed the old TPS and it's back to normal.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some little things

Not for long: Sensors

Simply installed and worked perfectly for about 5 weeks. The ODB now randomly displays higher TPS values, resulting in a 5-800 rpm boost at idle. When I shut down and restart my truck, the stats seem to reset, but eventually the stats grow back up.

Pros
  • The best in their niche
Cons

TPS for 2002 Dodge Ram Van 5.2L V8 fits connector plug

Arrived on time, fits and works great. Fixed timing issues, pings and misses. The check engine light went out on a 2002 Dodge Ram Van 5.2L V8. Bad TPS can cause many problems. Easy to DIY, no new gasket or ring included. The connector fits well, unlike others I've tried. Very happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Faulty Product - Throttle Position

A few months after installing this product on my '98 Dodge 1500 5.9 I started having problems idling, usually high idle, around 1500-1700 rpm. After a lot of troubleshooting I've gotten it I reinstalled the old TPS and it got better. Standard used to have good quality parts at a competitive price but I see that they keep making them cheaper and cheaper. Next time I will most likely spend a few bucks more and get a better product.

  • Certified
Cons

Garbage. Throttle connection to the sensor.

Nonsense. Where the throttle body connects to the sensor shown above is a plastic ring that connects to the throttle body. He WILL BREAK! I sent it back to amazon. That's not a very good part. You will have high revs and terrible acceleration. Don't buy this one, you will see at the bottom of the picture that the plastic has collapsed towards the sensor. Which will render it ineffective. Buy OEM or Duralast, not this one, if you look at the picture below you can see how it looks after 5 runs…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

worked as intended. Should have known earlier to replace my old one.

my 2002 jeep grand cherokee had a constant engine idle problem where the rpm would rise and fall for a while until the engine stalled. He recently did it on the freeway which resulted in the lack of high gear causing the car to jerk when accelerating from 30 to 40 mph. Because the engine was "racing," driving was as if it were in low gear with no downshift engaged. To the point that the ride was very uncomfortable. Two mechanics inspected it and found no problems as there is no error code to…
