Review on 🐶 Enhanced Educator Pager: Advanced 1/2 Mile Dog Training Remote Collar by Lory Finley

I am training a service dog and am currently working on protecting public areas. Due to my disability, I am often almost mute. My dog is trained in hand signals, but when checking in in a noisy environment with many distractions, there are times when he doesn't give me his full attention, and when he's not looking at me he can't see my hand signal. This pager was my lifesaver. They're often used on deaf dogs to get their attention, but they work for dumb trainers too. I tried the beep option first but found that in a busy, noisy environment it was just another noise for him, but the first stage vibration option was enough to get his attention. After conditioning, he knows to look me in the eye and wait for a hand signal. Just like verbal "looking" to get his eye and attention. I like that the selected layer can be locked while the first layer does its work, so I never have to worry about accidentally turning on a layer. I bought a belt clip to attach to my belt while keeping my hands free. It is easily accessible when needed. The battery life seems okay. I turn it on at 7am and turn it off around 10pm. and it has never flashed red, low battery. It also charges within an hour for me assuming the battery isn't going to drain too much. It's not difficult to use, so I don't know what the battery life will be like for someone who presses the buttons multiple times a day. Most importantly, for those considering using a pager, it can be cruel to an animal in ignorant hands. Some dogs are more sensitive to this than a regular e-collar, so the fact that it's a pager doesn't make it any more humane than an e-collar. For dogs that aren't overly sensitive to vibration, this is a great communication tool. That's the voice for me and it's pretty cool!
