Great replacement for an old tool
I bought this to replace a tailstock on a Dewalt lathe that is over 60 years old. Works great, fits perfectly except for one problem. The end plate covering the inner bearings unscrews during use. I don't know if it was properly tightened at the factory or not, and I don't know what torque it should be, and I don't know the tool to tighten it properly. I smeared the threads with BLUE Loctite and tightened them as best I could. Hopefully this will prevent it from crashing again.
