I bought it because I needed to monitor my computer. The inspector had to watch me take the test and that was fine. However, he should have seen my driver's license with my name, photo and DL number. He said he couldn't read it. I tried to focus the camera, but whatever, you couldn't see the writing clearly. If you need it as a quick and easy-to-use camera that isn't super focused, then for the price it's fine. Any kind of focus on something smaller than your hand is going to be a problem. I couldn't use it for what I need it for.
