I used this to upgrade an old laptop to 5GHz WiFi. After unsuccessfully replacing the internal card with the 5GHz version, I just wanted to upgrade it with a USB adapter. This adapter helped. No drivers were required and it just worked with the latest W10. I was able to connect to Wi-Fi at a distance literally twice that of the laptop's built-in Wi-Fi. which is quite surprising considering how small this key is. The internal card's Wi-Fi speed struggled to surpass 150 Mbps, but this card peaked at over 500 Mbps on my local Wi-Fi, then eventually settled at a long-term speed of around 200 Mbps on if more than 10 GB of files were transferred locally. My internet speed is only 200mbps so basically this card can saturate my entire internet for a whole day which is totally overkill for what this laptop is used for. Overall I'm happy with this card and will let you know if it fails.
