It will never come off. Serious. The glue on this thing is like aircraft grade epoxy. Maintain the correct position and clean the surface of your helmet well and you will enjoy it for decades, even if you regularly upshift. The wind isn't as bad when I turn my head and I actually feel like my head shakes less in the wind when I look ahead. Edit: I liked them so much I bought a second set for my other helmet.
