Stainless steel flakes off after use!

Don't waste your money on inferior stainless steel. You definitely get what you pay for. I'm a busy mom with young children so I rarely take the time to review a product, but I'm so excited that I am doing it today. We purchased this set in November 2013 along with a 12" pan with lid. I'm not a professional cook, just a mom who regularly cooks for her family, but I was disgusted to find that after a year and a half of use, the pans were starting to crack: maybe small bits of stainless steel? I've never overheated them, never used abrasive cleaners or abrasive cleaners, and have only hand washed them (although the manufacturer says they're dishwasher safe). This is more than just the discoloration that occurs with stainless steel when you're not using Bar Keepers Friend. There are small, tiny indentations all over the cooking surface, exposing the dark inner layer. To me, that screams a serious health hazard (what metal is being exposed right now?), not to mention a lack of product. I contacted Cuisinart and they sent me a replacement (shipping at my expense). I was hoping our original pans were just a product accident. no Here we are another year later and the replacement devices are starting to bend. I called Cuisinart today and they will send me more but will not refund the product. Don't waste your time if you don't mind emailing them pictures of peeling pans every year and waiting for new ones to arrive. Perhaps they will come in handy if you rarely cook. But if you plan on using them 5-10 times a week (or more!), don't worry.

Cons
