Looks terrible after washing

When this rug first arrived, I thought it looked very nice & felt silky soft. The first time I walked across it barefooted I almost fell because it was so slick! Now that it's been through the washing machine it looks horrible, like roadkill lying on the floor. It also sheds tiny particles, I think from the backing?, into the dryer, making a mess when I empty the lint trap. Would not recommend.

Looks great layered on top of hardwood or tiled floors

May require special cleaning techniques if stains occur
