Review on Outward Hound Lightweight Dog Backpack: Ultimate Hiking Gear for Your Canine Companion by Timothy Louis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

. decent volume but not as bulky as other hunting dog backpacks

Update 16 August 2015. Maybe this issue has been fixed in the new version of the bag. I do not know. I still really like this backpack but wish it would last longer. I could probably sew it again, but consider that if you're buying a backpack.------------------------------ -- - --------------------------------------------------------------- - ----------- Holds a decent amount but is not as bulky as other outdoor dog backpacks. Its size is perfect for his daily walks and hikes. I can fit two 20 ounce water bottles, pot bags, snacks, keys and other small items in it. Whenever he wears this backpack, he gets tired much faster. Sometimes I have to undress him and carry his backpack myself. I've used it on him about 10 times and the backpack seems to be holding up well. I didn't notice any wear on the straps, but I did notice some wear on the backpack. However, I think it's mostly because he bumps and rubs against tree bark when he forgets he's wearing a backpack. If you're having trouble keeping your pack straight, try tightening the waist belt. This should prevent it from slipping to the side. My Staffy mix is 44 pounds and the average one is a bit oversized when it's tightest in the chest area. A small one would probably fit his chest better.

Pros

Cons
