Tape Waste Solution

Tape waste is by far the most annoying aspect of this label printer. I also agree with one review that said it's better to use the favorites buttons for your favorite SETTINGS than your favorite WORDS. Making text selection is actually very stupid, IMHO. I primarily use my labeler to put the name of the spice on top of the spice jar because I keep my spices in a deep drawer by the stove. This allows me to look down over the jars and easily find my spices instead of looking at them at eye level in the cupboard. Since I'm labeling multiple spices at once, I decided to figure out how to save settings and multiple labels with as little tape as possible. Here's what I did: Set the following: Label Length to AUTO, Auto Size = OFF, Margin = CHAIN PRINT (this is KEY to reducing ribbon waste), Size = MAX (if using 3/4 inch ribbon - you can set LARGE use if with 1/2 inch tape), Width = X1/2 (I use this to place a label on a tiny spice jar lid. This will put the letters closer together so if you have a lot of space on the item you are labeling you can just set the width to NORMAL.), Style = BOLD (or your choice), Underline/Border = your choice (this is where you can draw fancy borders around your text. NOW type some text for your first press PRINT DO NOT CUT THE LABEL DO NOT PRESS "SHIFT+BS" to erase all the text at once, as this WILL REMOVE YOUR FORMATTING as well, press the BS key one at a time to erase each text letter by letter of the Tex tes to delete this allows you to keep all the formatting ing. Now type the second label, press PRINT, remove the text (one letter at a time) and type the text for the third label. Etc. WHEN YOU ARE READY TO CUT THE LABEL STRIP. Press SHIFT+FEED once, then cut the strip. Now you can separate each label with scissors and there is NO blank space between labels :) Hope this was helpful!
