I would give this lens four and a half stars but you can't give half. This is a well made, very sharp lens, light and small. I use it with the 18-55 zoom and I get everything in a small bag. The combination of these focal lengths allows me to do whatever I want with a rangefinder camera. I like the ability to move the lens ring to access manual or auto focus and the fact that it has an aperture ring. I don't mind some distortion in a wide angle lens and this one doesn't disappoint. So if you're looking for a straight, wide-angle lens with little or no distortion, this isn't it, but you are. I pay more for a lens like this. Autofocus is quiet and the large aperture allows for low-light shooting. It's sharp in the center, wide open, and generally high in contrast. Edge-to-edge sharpness at apertures up to F8. I have no regrets buying this lens as it allows me to shoot from a completely different perspective on close-ups and landscapes.
