I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!

I chose between 14 and 10-24 and chose 14 (samyangs didn’t stand next to the quality of the lenses), because the pluses warm the soul: 1) cheaper 2) faster aperture (2,8 is not 4, albeit with a stub, beautiful oily bokeh at the minimum focusing distance) 3) no distortion problems 4) less weight and dimensions 5) fixed sharpness, reliable design 6) optimal focal length. A question of one step forward or backward. 7) price-quality 8) confident autofocus (with X-A2)

Pros
  • Light weight, almost complete absence of distortion. Good image contrast when shooting in backlight. Very sharp, with fast autofocus and easy manual focusing with a ring. Impeccable build quality. The aperture wheel does not turn in the wind, but it is not tight, as on the new 35 f2, for example.
Cons
  • The glare from the sun in the back does not look like stars with long rare rays, but like a small sun with many rays. Who likes what. The hood is strictly required.

Superb wide angle lens

I would give this lens four and a half stars but you can't give half. This is a well made, very sharp lens, light and small. I use it with the 18-55 zoom and I get everything in a small bag. The combination of these focal lengths allows me to do whatever I want with a rangefinder camera. I like the ability to move the lens ring to access manual or auto focus and the fact that it has an aperture ring. I don't mind some distortion in a wide angle lens and this one doesn't disappoint. So if you're

More versatile than I thought

I've had this lens for a long time and finally decided to give a review. I won't go into detail; everything that has already been said or written. This lens is often compared to the 16 1.4 but I wanted something wider and as I mainly use it for landscapes the 2.8 is fine and I often stop it much further away. IQ and color are fantastic, especially when shooting with Velvia. Also, by the way, it's a bit smaller, lighter and cheaper. However, I sometimes wish it was a little longer as I also…

Excellent Ultra-Wide Prime

That was a bit extravagant as I already had a Samsung 12mm. However, I did save a few bucks by buying it from Revain. For vintage cars, this would be the equivalent of 21mm, which used to be as wide as a normal (middle-income non-professional) person could reach. It's not as wide as 12mm, but usually wide enough. The big advantage is that it interacts a little more pleasantly with Fuji cases. While you could live without AF most of the time, sometimes it's nice to have. Focusing on the Santana…

Fujinon XF 14mm F2.8. You can't go wrong.

I am using 14mm on the XT-1. I'm talking about prime numbers. I was thinking of a new 16mm lens. After reading some reviews I decided the 14mm lens was a good choice. I used this lens for several shots. All lenses have their advantages. I still find pros on the 14. I can tell you that shooting with this lens is a pleasure. Wide-angle artifacts appear at the edges, at f2, but stop this lens at f8 by 11 and you'll be amazed by its design prowess. If you want a weatherproof lens and an extra…

Pros
  • 21mm equivalent focal length on APS-C cameras
Cons
  • Too long to wait

I have been using the Fujifilm X-Series system for a year now. I use a Fujifilm X-T1 camera and only have 18-55mm and 35mm lenses. I was keen to add a wide angle lens and after some research settled on the 14mm F2.8. I think it was a great decision because this lens is amazing! Here's what I like about this lens: - It's light and compact. - Excellent optical quality. I shot crisp, handheld images with no effort. - The lens feels solid and of good quality. - The 14mm focal length gives a…
