Plastic isn't a very good conductor of heat
Bought this on a whim and I'm happy with it, especially considering the price. The only comment I would like to make to future buyers is that eggs take longer to boil in these small cups. I suspect it's because plastic doesn't conduct heat as well. If you normally cook a soft-boiled egg for 3 minutes, give it about 5. And in my case, I made sure to pour some hot water on the egg or the top won't cook well.
