I got these for an RV with a retractable bumper to see behind the RV while driving. Much better than just using the extended rear view mirrors on my truck and a definite plus when reversing with a camper van. Hooking up a backup camera isn't that difficult even for me, but not if you're planning to tow something, so wireless is a great option. I wasn't sure if the signal would get from the back of the 18ft RV to the Heavy Duty 250's cockpit, but it has a 60ft range. I'm still experimenting with placement ideas as the RV license plate is off center. Another plus for me is that the monitor can be stored away when not in use. And an added plus is that the customer support is great. They respond within a reasonable timeframe if you need assistance if you do not understand the instructions provided. Some units come with a voucher for a second system for an additional car. Win. Win.
