My wife and I first saw this in a TV commercial. Both lowered their jaws. Her because she just spent a few weeks painting and now has a few dozen paintings and shelves to put up again; mine, because now I wouldn't have to go back and cover up "mistakes" with putty. With a height of 3 feet, it can handle most paintings and floating shelves. The nice thing about this level is the sliding crosshairs on either side of the center. You hold a spirit level over the item to be hung on the wall and drag the crosshairs over the places where you need nails/screws in the wall. The crosshair stays in place so you can place a bubble level on the wall and mark exactly where to drill/nail. Gecko Grips are small, spring-loaded, non-slip pads that help hold the level to the wall as you mark the wall through the image guides. It was a great gift for her as he hated making me do extra work. I actually like it better than taking a tape measure, making distance marks on the wall, and then aligning those marks. IT made the process easier than easy. If you want to redecorate, add this to the list. Only the gain in time compensates for this.
