YES. IT WORKS WITH MICROPHONE. Before purchasing there was some confusion as to whether this would work with a mic and now I can say with certainty that it will work for mics. You and your friend can put on separate headphones and both speak into the microphone at the same time! This can cause very little echo, but that's not the splitter's fault. Just the result of using two microphones close together. I am very happy with this splitter. It was cheap and didn't compromise the sound quality, at least I couldn't tell. It also doesn't change the sound quality of my voice to other people. I bought this first because my son and I couldn't share our gaming headphones. He enjoys listening to me play and being able to chat with my friends while I play. And with that, we can finally make it easy and uncomplicated. The cord seems strong enough to withstand a few vigorous pulls. If this ever stops working I will order more. It's worth it.
