Review on πŸ”§ ACDelco 213-1557 Camshaft Position Sensor: Genuine GM Original Equipment by Jason Bollinger

My Envoy is working great again

Fast delivery and easy installation. In 2014 I had a camshaft position sensor on my 2002 Envoy replaced at a local shop. The original part lasted 12 years and 100,000 miles but the non-original shop fitted part only lasted 2 years and 15,000 km. Now that I know the symptoms and the part needed I replaced it myself after watching a few YouTube videos showing how, only I got back to the part that took 14 years; OEM. The part I received was actually an ACDelco. Advice. All videos show removing the wiring harness from the camshaft position sensor before removing the part from the engine. Once you've done this (or are trying to) you'll find out pretty quickly that the location of the plug makes it very difficult to figure out how to do it. I soon realized I had enough wire to disconnect the part first, then flip it over to see the connector, and then remove it. Do the opposite during installation and you'll be up and running in 10 minutes!
