I'm not usually the type of person to write reviews but I almost didn't buy it due to the lack of reviews so I decided to pay in advance . Firstly, I only used it for viewing, so I can't comment on the camera's capabilities. In general it's a bit expensive for this money, I definitely recommend it. In general the quality is good and generally corresponds to what is advertised. There are a few things to know so you can decide whether or not it's worth it for you. Night vision is real, with built-in infrared illuminator. It works great and "highlights" objects at least a hundred yards away (didn't check further). The illuminator emits a faint, visible red glow when turned on. Not enough to shed any light on anything noticeably, but it's there, so there's no hiding with it. The optical zoom appears to be fixed and the front ring is for manual focus, but it doesn't really need to be adjusted except for significant changes in distance. The digital zoom is what you'd expect, it enlarges part of the image but doesn't add any resolution so it quickly becomes pixelated. The case feels good in the hand and is compact, but made of hard plastic rather than high-quality rubber armor. After all, it's not exactly what I would call a monocular. I was confused by the reviews talking about the small screen as it looks like it's meant to draw attention. it's not like this. If you're trying to use it as a monocular, your eye won't be able to focus on the screen, so you'll have to hold it for a while, meaning it's more like looking at a screen than through an eyepiece. I've focused more on the negatives just so you know what you're getting, but that's an insanely good price and you can actually see for about $100 in pitch black time.
