Air leaks are not sealed at ports
The female connector fittings are plastic and do not form a strong secure connection, even if a threaded strap is used it will still allow air to pass through. These connectors should be metal like most others. I don't know if it was just my fault that the left side doesn't close properly. The rest of the device is well built so I don't know why they chose to make the port connections out of plastic.
