UPDATE 180626: I was sent a replacement unit (with expedited shipping) which arrived shortly thereafter and has worked great with constant use ever since! Many thanks to this supplier for his kind support and guarantee! Upgraded to 5 stars for their customer service and quick resolution! UPDATE 180525: Unitek has responded to my request and is sending a replacement unit under the terms of the warranty. Once it has arrived and I have had a chance to use it I will come back and correct my review. When using the second compartment for the first time, the device started to smoke: I could never read a disc there because. The front bay worked for a few uses, but now (data migration between 27" iMacs) it doesn't even recognize ANY drive in that bay. I ended up using a SATA to USB cable to complete the job. Worst $40 I've ever spent on tech. The change is pending review after helpdesk and support have responded.
