I used it to cut ceramic tiles. It worked very well until at 11,000 rpm a piece of the blade broke off and hit my arm. Luckily I was wearing heavy leather welding gloves at the time so I didn't lose any skin or bones but he fractured or injured his thumb bone at the point of impact. He was gentle for at least a month. I don't know if I got a defective disc or if they are all of the same quality. I know things like this happen, so don't forget your protective gear no matter what you're doing. I probably made over 200 or so small cuts in the tile before the blade broke. I bought another one from a different brand and haven't had any problems so far. I love Dewalt products and the quality of their tools and am inclined to think that my experience was fortunate.
