I bought this tool along with these fasteners https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AW62VCC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for replacement windshield washer nozzles on my truck. To get to the nozzle in the hood of my truck, I had to partially remove the insulating layer under the hood. The insulating layer is held in place with the plastic clips mentioned above. This tool easily removed the staples. Simply insert the V-shaped tip of the tool under the plastic mounts and swing up. The clips popped out with little effort. This gave access to the nozzle. This remedy worked perfectly. I tried prying these clips out with pliers and a screwdriver. It's hard and just crippled the clip. This tool is a much better option. I don't expect to use this tool often, so I suspect it will last for many years.
