These bowls are perfect for making flower cubes for a children's party. They were a HIT! I will say that you need to freeze the cubes in three steps so that the flowers do not float to the top. I turned the roses upside down, facing the bottom of the cube. 1/3 filled with water. Place in the freezer for several hours until fully set. Then I added more petals or a small rose. Filled the next 1/3. Back in the freezer for a few hours. Then fill the last 1/3 up with water (and add more flowers as you like). Then, when the last batch was frozen, I ran the bottoms of the bowls under warm/hot water for 30-60 seconds and the cubes popped right out! They were beautiful! Another trick I learned is that you can get clear ice if you boil water first to remove impurities. Or I believe you can use purified water from a gallon jug. I chose the boiling method and then waited for the water to cool before pouring the cubes. Hope that helps!
