Apart from the fact that the accordion was very tight, which sometimes made it impossible to pull out the vacuum cleaner, it started out as a worthy replacement. I thought it would stretch over time and it did. My previous hose was an original Dyson hose. It has endured ten years of frequent, sometimes daily, use in a household with two children, a cat and lots of crafts. This hose change took a full 9 months before these holes in the hose showed up. Nothing has changed about where the vacuum cleaner is stored or what it vacuums. Genuine Dyson hoses must be made from the highest quality materials. If you don't mind spending $30 a year on a new hose, then this option is for you. This time I'll spend $50 and get the real one from the Dyson website.
