🌀 Dyson Hose Attachment for DC27 and DC28 - Improved Cleaning Efficiency Review

Inexpensive replacement for the extension hose on my old DC28 Animal. I found the quality and materials indistinguishable from original parts. I found the price very reasonable.

It doesn't "click" when placed in a vacuum and I was a little unsure if it was fully seated, and had Afraid I would break. That works great. The cuff around the top seems to have a bit more material than the Dyson hose and I sometimes have to use my finger to slide it into place to get the hose/tube back.

The rubber/plastic on my original hose started tearing around the wires when I overtightened the hose and the vacuum stopped sucking. This hose was an exact replacement for the factory hose. It fits perfectly with the same factory quality. I bought this a few years ago and still use the same replacement hose. worth your money. It was cheaper than buying a new vacuum cleaner.

This hose fits perfectly and looks like it will work well. My only criticism of this model of Dyson hose is that it needs to be handled with care. We replace our hoses about once a year because they tear easily and puncture from being stretched too much. I decided to be careful with that hose this time and not extend it too far (which is easy if you're using one of the attachments). I have a Dyson Animal DC 28. I didn't want to change my vacuum cleaner; i love this one We've had it for years. I read the reviews and decided to take a chance as some people said it worked with DC28 and some people didn't. The first one I got didn't fit and I thought it was because the plastic 'flange' on the part where it was supposed to snap onto the vacuum was bent and therefore the hose couldn't be inserted. Apart from the fact that the accordion was very tight, which sometimes made it impossible to pull out the vacuum cleaner, it started out as a worthy replacement. I thought it would stretch over time and it did. My previous hose was an original Dyson hose. The hose I received works with my Dyson, but there is one thing about the hose that 'might' break the deal. The original Dyson hose has a clamp that holds the hose to the vacuum cleaner body. When you pull the hose up, the clamp prevents the hose from detaching from your body. If you don't stretch the hose too much when using the wand, or don't use the wand too often, it probably won't make much of a difference. This fits my Dyson DC28 perfectly but when I installed it I almost sent it back thinking it was the wrong size! To properly install it on the base behind the motor I had to use WD40 and take a lot of effort to push it all the way in so it snaps in properly.
