Visited Disney for the first time with our 5 year old. He loves Star Wars and the new Star Wars rides and was trained as a young Jedi. There are several ways to buy lightsabers in the parks, but they are 1) glowing but not collapsible (how does that fit in a suitcase), 2) foldable but not glowing (what's the fun of it), and 3) very expensive Custom orders (think of assembling a bear for lightsabers). I went back to the house we rented and ordered them for home delivery in 2 days. They run on 3 AAA batteries and are pretty cool with sounds and color changing lights. You can also take them to the parks.
