These are SIGNIFICANTLY larger than the Tupperware salt and pepper shakers I've had for years that look very similar. I've loved that design for years and hope these will perform as well as those, over time. The seal keeps moisture out, but you may want to add some rice just to keep clumps at bay. I think the design of these lids will also work better than my old ones, which actually ended up with mold all over them once (I think we lent them to a friend while camping and they allowed too much steam and grease to splatter on them while shaking above the cooking meats), and was a bear to clean - this design looks like it'll clean up MUCH easier. I like how the lids pop off easy enough but how they're fairly rigid, so I don't think they'll pop off during travel, bouncing around in the RV. Overall pleased with these and excited to see how they do over time!
