Review on ๐ŸŒช๏ธ EUREKA Whirlwind 4870 Vacuum Cleaner Hose by Tomeka Parker

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Lasted 17 months on vacuums and floor care

Update: Last hose lasted 17 months, broke in same place. Graphically, as an item's price increases, its lifespan decreases: 24 months, 20 months, 17 months. The Eureka Boss isn't a particularly good vacuum and these replacement hoses make me dislike it even more. Second review: Mine lasted 20 months before breaking in the same spot as the original where the hose connects to the tool coupler. . As other reviewers say, the redeeming quality is the price. I got up to a dollar a month. It's a shame, however, that we've gotten to the point where key parts of the tool, like pouches and filters, are considered consumables. I think I'll keep buying these hoses until the vacuum cleaner breaks. Update 08/24/2017: As planned, the hose broke 24 months later in the same place. I re-glued it and am now considering throwing out the vacuum cleaner altogether, although it still works. To be fair to the manufacturer of these hoses, the design of the Eureka-Vac jetting system is terrible. Because the hose exits the machine at the bottom, the hose stretches more than it should; If it was plugged in above it certainly wouldn't be a constant problem/issue. I will not buy Eureka again.
