Review on Powerful Electric Heater: Mr. Heater 3.6KW / 12,283 BTU / 240-Volt Forced Air by James Hova

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Make sure you have the correct outlet

Pretty good heater for the money. I’ve used it to heat an uninsulated 3-season porch up to 70 degrees when it was 35 outside. I typically use it in the insulated garage, which after only 30 min is comfortable enough to work in. After an hour or so, it can even be turned off or you can lower the thermostat.Important to know, this does not use a typical outlet found in most US homes. It’s a Nema 6-20R outlet, which is a 20 amp, 240v circuit. An electrician can add one from your panel, but that must be factored into your total cost for this heater.Upon testing, it draws 14.2 amps of power on each leg with the heater on, and 0.2 amps in fan-only mode.
