Make sure you have the correct outlet

Pretty good heater for the money. I’ve used it to heat an uninsulated 3-season porch up to 70 degrees when it was 35 outside. I typically use it in the insulated garage, which after only 30 min is comfortable enough to work in. After an hour or so, it can even be turned off or you can lower the thermostat.Important to know, this does not use a typical outlet found in most US homes. It’s a Nema 6-20R outlet, which is a 20 amp, 240v circuit. An electrician can add one from your panel, but that…

Pros
  • Love this heater. Puts out a lot of heat. Not very noisy. Perfect for our smaller living room.
Cons
  • Did not generate enough heat. Unit was returned

Not what I expected.

The fan on my heater ran all the time. The temperature band ( ON/OFF ) for the heat thermostat is too close together causing the heat to come on and off alot. It does heat the space I needed it to heat.

Pros
  • 13 x 14.5 x 11.5 inches
Cons
  • Unsightly Look

Good heat, Quiet, No odor.

Make sure you know what you are buying. This is a 240v 20amp model so you will need that specific type of electrical outlet. I've tried a 120v model and they are worthless. I have also had a kerosene blower heater for years which i was tired of the smell and noise. This Mr. Heater unit is a good compromise. It will take about a half hour to get a single car garage to a workable temperature but it's nice to have the very low noise and no smell. I use this unit in a single car garage that is semi

Pros
  • Multicolor
Cons
  • High Operating Cost: The Mr. Heater 3.6KW / 12,283 BTU / 240-Volt Forced Air heater consumes a lot of electricity, which results in a high operating cost that could quickly add up on your utility bills

Clean quick heat in your shop

Heating my uninsulated workshop when I need to work on something there in the winter. I’m not trying to get the 20 x 12 foot shop tropical - just around 50 degrees so I can work comfortably without gloves. This heater brought it up to 55 when it was 20 degrees outside in about an hour. Make sure you understand that this is a 240 volt heater and will not work from a typical domestic 120 volt outlet.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • The heater's high power output and its forced air mechanism present safety challenges that could pose hazards to individuals who aren't careful, especially around children or pets who may accidentally knock it over

Good for certain situations.

This is the 240v version for a 20 amp plug/circuit, and it will not plug into a regular 120v outlet. When on, the fan runs all of the time. The heat coils turn on and off via the thermostat. So. it makes a good on-demand heater. Examples include heating a garage, workshop or a covered patio, etc. WHILE IN IT. It would not be good as the main all-of-the-time heater in those areas, keeping a basement or space from freezing temps, or as an heater for occupied indoor spaces because the fan stays on

Pros
  • Forced Air
Cons
  • The Mr. Heater 3.6KW / 12,283 BTU / 240-Volt Forced Air heater is a relatively large appliance that would be challenging to store in small spaces

Great little heater that puts out better than I hoped.

I use these in my shop to keep it habitable and workable in cold weather. They put out more heat than I expected, and if I need any more heat, this will be exactly what I'll order. I also have one in my wood drying kiln, and run it 24/7 on full heat and speed. So far, it has been perfect. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Optional fan only operation
Cons
  • This powerful electric heater is not very portable and is designed primarily for static use. This limitation means that you'll be unable to move the heater around the room, which could impact its heating effectiveness depending on the layout of your space

Quit after 6-weeks best in my review

Heater quit, impossibly difficult to get through to the USA Manufacturer in Cleveland, OH, or get anything done to fix it. Going to try again, but it should not be so difficult. Blower works, no heat. Should have purchased the extra Revain Warranty.

Pros
  • A okay
Cons
  • The heat output was cery weak.

Dangerous product in my review

I bought this heater to warm up my basement. I ran it for about a week, then it stopped heating. But the fan still worked. So, I opened it up. I found that the switch that controlled on-off, fan, or fan/heat had overheated and the switch housing had melted. When I tried to disconnect the quick connect on the wire, the whole terminal came out of the switch. The thermostat inside the unit has brown discoloration, too, indicating overheating, and the quick connect terminals that it uses are loose…

Pros
  • Corded Electric
Cons
  • Doesnt put out much heat.

Best Value on my review.

I put a 220V outlet an a garage and use this to take the chill off. The unit is very light, stable, and easy t move. The Mr. Heater has an interesting design. The heating element is n the enter section an is protected from direct air. The fan blows cool air around the outside of the heating element so that the center of the air flow is warm and the outer part of the "doughnut" is cool. This keeps the outside of the unit from getting hot at all. Pretty neat. I think this also keeps flammable…

Pros
  • Electric Space Heaters
Cons
  • It takes a relatively long time for this electric heater to warm up fully, especially when used in large rooms. This delay could result in discomfort during the heating process and could also reduce its overall energy efficiency

Cannot plug this in a standard outlet

I spent 98 bucks on this so I could warm my covered porch area while my friends social distanced. It was not made clear that this device is not made for plugging into a standard American wall outlet. I was going to buy an adapter but found out that it wouldn't work and would probably flip the breaker switch or worse.Update: I discovered I had one of these outlets out in my woodshop so I tried the heater out while working on a cold day and it was lukewarm at best, only if you stood directly in…

Pros
  • Thermostat Included
Cons
  • Arrived and would not heat up my enclosed workspace. Work nicely as a fan
