Review on BOIFUN Portable Monitor Speakers Z1-5: 15.8" Matte Screen, Flicker-Free, Bezel-Less, Full HD 1920X1080P, HDMI Ready by Tim Harris

I previously bought a different brand of portable monitor to have more workspace than the small screen on my work laptop. The monitor proved usable, but no matter how much I tweaked the settings, the resolution and color reproduction were very low, so I decided to try this one and see if it gets any better. The box contained a monitor (obviously), a magnetic cover, a power adapter, a USB-C cable, a USB 2.0 cable, a mini HDMI cable, and a USB to micro USB adapter. Sounds like a lot of cables, but there are multiple ways to power your monitor, and these cables and adapters cover most options. Setup was easy, especially since I was replacing a similar monitor I was already using. The monitor is attached to the lid/stand with magnets integrated in the lid. I simply opened the lid and sat on my desk using part of the lid as a base. (The lid has a notch that the bottom of the monitor fits into to keep it in place and at a good viewing angle.) After that, I just plugged the USB-C cable into the laptop dock and turned on the monitor . and was ready to use. (In my configuration, the USB-C cable provides power and transmits video and audio.) I immediately noticed a huge difference in screen quality and resolution on this BOIFUN monitor compared to the Lepow monitor I used. earlier, although the characteristics are similar. Even without adjustments, the BOIFUN monitor has much better color accuracy and text is much clearer and easier to read. I can't see any distortion, flickering or dead pixels either. I've used the built in speakers and mic on a few Skype calls and the sound and clarity was good, once again surpassing my previous portable monitor. I am very satisfied with this portable monitor. If I encounter any problems I will update this review.
