Updated rating from 1 to 4 stars: I received a monitor to replace the one in my review below. This monitor is different day and night than the product I originally reviewed. The power supply and the screen worked immediately, without errors. Screen clarity and colors are nice and bright. I also love that the lid forms its own monitor stand. Mouse lag also seems to have been fixed. While the mouse drags a bit compared to my main monitor, this is barely noticeable and doesn't affect performance. I'm deducting a star because the power adapter that came with the monitor is a USB-A power hub. all USB-C to USB-C cables. This isn't a big issue for me as my laptop has a USB-C power port that I can use. I also lowered the score because the power cord is still fairly short. So if I couldn't use the USB-C port on my laptop, I would have trouble finding an outlet that the cable could reach. ----- ----- Received this monitor today and boxed it up within an hour of trying to get this product to work. Here's why: - First, I'm pretty sure I received a used product. The protective film has already been partially removed and scratched. When I first connected the monitor, the company logo kept flickering on the screen, but it wouldn't turn on. It took unplugging and plugging back in for this to stop and be recognized by my computer. At this point it indicated that the correct adapter was immediately connected. I had an HDMI cable connected and a power adapter. there was nothing wrong connected. But since I thought there might be a reception error with the HDMI cable, I tried the C-port cable. The logo flickering returned and my monitor was never recognized by my C-port computer. I decided to continue with this error which eventually went away on its own. The picture quality is terrible. I had it set to the highest brightness settings and the image was incredibly dark. What was even worse was the mouse lag on this monitor. There is definitely a reception error as my mouse movements are delayed and not where I expect them to be. I tried another HDMI cable and the same functional errors. I tried c-port, didn't even recognize it. Finally, the power supply is too short. Of course it could be plugged directly into my computer if I had a C-port available, but if I don't have one then a cable of its current length cannot be used. I was very disappointed, especially after reading so many positive reviews. Maybe I have a lemon? I can only give a review based on what is available to me and what has been described above is my experience. Return after possession is not even an hour later.
