Review on Binoculars Nikon Prostaff 5 12X50 black by Adam Kotula ᠌

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Suitable for daytime wildlife viewing as well as moon viewing. Has pros: Nice design. Excellent assembly, lies soundly in the hands, nothing creaks or dangles. Comfortable soft non-slip rubber coating. Low weight. Large magnification (out of habit it will be difficult to point the binoculars at the first time, for example, the Moon). On the side of the eyepieces, there are retractable rubberized eyecups-hoods that allow you to conveniently use the binoculars directly in medical glasses without removing them. On the side of the external lenses, there are small hoods, due to the shape of the case, which save the glasses from accidental contact with fingers. Case and comfortable neck strap included. Some cons: The caps of the eyepieces and lenses do not hold well if you wear binoculars on a strap (without a case) with the caps closed - they can easily be lost. They also fly off when the binoculars are taken out of the case. Under direct sunlight on the street, the black case heats up noticeably. It would be better if its color was a shade of gray or green. Closer to the edges of the field of view, clearly visible chromatic aberrations (color fringing of an unexpected unnatural color) can appear at the edges of contrasting objects - for example, a light brick house against a dark sky or forest can get a thin green or purple perimeter. Apparently, this is a feature of the applied optical scheme. At the same time, the color rendition of the objects themselves (not at their borders) is normal - you can see the colored details in the plumage of a flying bird, for example.
