The adapter works fine on the 2012 MacBook Pro and 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar using the Apple USB Adapter

This adapter worked great and reliably for our use with Adobe Connect and WebEx on the Mac. One note concerns the adapter. USB 3.0 is required to provide clear/consistent video footage. We have tutors in the classroom and remotely via WebEx or Adobe Connect. We wanted a DV camera to record training events AND show video from the DV camera to remote attendees. We struggled with audio issues and many video issues. challenging. You can make them work sometimes with BlackMagic software, and sometimes they work with different applications depending on the version of the software you're using. Sometimes we had to downgrade to an older version. We were getting tired of playing around with BlackMagic adapters and didn't know if it would work when we really needed it. We were looking for a reliable video input device to use with Adobe Connect and found our way through various online articles on AV.io products. We installed the configuration tool, checked all the options and created some custom permissions (the maximum supported permissions for Adobe Connect) and got to work. The video went through without incident. We then solved the audio issues by having WebEx or Adobe Connect "dial-in" to the Polycom speaker. To ensure the best sound quality for distant participants, we purchased two external microphones for Polycom, which worked great. Finally, we added a basic mini-boom mic to our DV camera so our footage could capture attendees indoors without the need for lavalier or handheld mics. Long story. In short, AV.io solved a number of video capture issues and became part of our virtual learning solution. Thanks for a fantastic product!
