It Just Works - Computers & Accessories

I bought for Zoom Cheat, WebX and FB with my Sling Studio output for streaming professional multi-camera setups. I know there are much cheaper cards out there but this was mentioned in 2 reviews I saw at the start of Rhona's Lockdown as good quality and very reliable. For me it was the same. We've used it like crazy with different settings all year and the result has always been the same. It just works. Now I have a Black Magic ATEM and most likely won't need the thing. But? May be? Great device - works like a charm to take videos of my medical device

Great product, plug and play. Was looking for a way to capture the DVI video output from a medical device and this worked with no problems! There was a little hiccup in the beginning to find good software to capture and record video input on my old Windows 7 computer. Alternatives are Ulead Video Editor and VLC, but it was difficult to find the right resolution and frame rate. Updated to Windows 10 which has a camera app and now works like clockwork. The device is solid, with good thick cablesโ€ฆ

Finally an HDMI/DVI/VGA capture card that works with Linux!

Capture works well with typical HDMI, DVI and VGA sources. It comes as a UVC class device, so you don't need to install Windows 10 and Linux drivers for the capture to work. The capture format support is very simple: all frames returned from the capture device are in uncompressed YUV 4:2:2 format. When connected to a USB 3.0 port, you can get a full 1080p60 recording with no frame loss as long as the CPU can keep up, especially when compressing real-time video. On Linux, video is routed through

Easy installation, solid assembly, works very well

After trying a similar device from another manufacturer that didn't work properly, I was very skeptical. However, my concerns were resolved literally within minutes of installation as it worked great and easy right out of the box. If you're using it on a Windows 10 computer, you can only test it with the regular built-in Windows camera app, which can take pictures by individual frames or record videos as well. So you can take pictures and videos with a simple connection in less than a minuteโ€ฆ

Pros
  • DVI HDMI adapter
Cons
  • Minor issues

This adapter worked great and reliably for our use with Adobe Connect and WebEx on the Mac. One note concerns the adapter. USB 3.0 is required to provide clear/consistent video footage. We have tutors in the classroom and remotely via WebEx or Adobe Connect. We wanted a DV camera to record training events AND show video from the DV camera to remote attendees. We struggled with audio issues and many video issues. challenging. You can make them work sometimes with BlackMagic software, andโ€ฆ
