I usually have two for breakfast and one for lunch. An important part of the backstory is that I'm a night owl/early riser hybrid. I stay up late and get up early to meet the demands of the day. I usually feel the need to take a quick nap in the middle of the day. When I take these pills I notice a definite but small increase in energy. More importantly, I notice that my energy levels are more stable. The gap between highs and lows is much smaller and I tend to stay locked in a high energy state quite well. So far I haven't noticed any disadvantages and my need for a nap is decreasing.
