Excellent choice for lining and trimming plywood products

I'm a fairly experienced woodworker but have never cut my pieces. I usually clad them in solid wood or it's a service part, it doesn't matter. I recently made some built in bookshelves for our new house and I have a few 3/4 strips of birch plywood left over from tearing off the sheets. I used leftovers to create a small storage rack in my garage. I decided to try this edging to cover the edges. Since the glue was already applied, everything went smoothly. I spread the tape along my project and used an iron to run it firmly over the tape to melt the glue. I used a roller to gently press the tape against the product. Then I just ran a utility knife around the edge and trimmed it flush. I made the crossbars by placing the strapping and pressing lightly on the strapping with a knife, creating a nice, sharp, even edge, making the joint completely invisible. Much easier to use than I thought and the finished project looks amazing! Photos are attached. I'm going to finish this "scrap shelf" with linseed oil and hang it up in the garage to carry my knick-knacks. Good product!
