I'm a carpenter, that's crap. low quality

Worst edge quality I have ever seen. Every 6-10 feet the roll is simply finished, overlapped and glued. About 5 times the amount of glue needed, just a mess. For the same price you get better edges, that's 100% crap.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Tape not true 3/4 "

I had experience with this brand of red oak edge veneers and was very pleased as the tape was about 16 wider and I was able to trim it perfectly. Birch was a big disappointment for me.I was expecting the same results but when I measured the roll I saw that the width of the tape was too small. It is somewhere between .742 and .744" and makes the finished product look poor. To return.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Good but not great

Nice edges on my plywood cabinet

Good length, easy to iron on, great adhesion. Trimming the excess to a nice clean edge was by far the hardest part. I've found that after trimming the excess edge, it's not worth sanding down minor imperfections in your trimming job - tiny bits of glue will melt or otherwise appear during the sanding process, which you'll then need to remove. Not the fault of this finish, just the nature of the work - the product is excellent!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Nice plywood edge in building materials

I made some plywood shelves and used them to finish the edge of the wood to hide the plywood layers. It was easy to hook up and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the 50ft roll was not a continuous strip of wood. Instead, there were some pieces that were over 20 feet long while others were only 6-7 feet long. Overall it worked well and removed the stains well and I was able to use smaller pieces on the ends of the shelves to minimize any potential waste.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • I really don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Other options out there

This stuff was a disappointment. It sticks well and that's the only reason I give it 2 stars. Two problems, too much glue on it. Leave the iron on for too long and the glue will come out and be very painful to remove. There had to be at least 10 mortise and tenon joints on a 50 foot roll and one of the rolls had that joint with tape, give me a break! "Made in China" is not a deal. I bought a roll in an orange big box made in Canada and it's 100% better.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Repair

Good for projects where perfection is not required

This is a good edging tape for many applications. If you're building something like a built-in bookcase that gets painted, this would be a great choice. This is good tape but there is a lot of glue on the back. This can be a problem with fine woods that require an almost invisible seam. This seems to work well with even coverage wood stains and stain absorption that I've tried. For most projects that don't need an invisible seam, this is a great way to cover lots of edges on a budget.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Excellent choice for lining and trimming plywood products

I'm a fairly experienced woodworker but have never cut my pieces. I usually clad them in solid wood or it's a service part, it doesn't matter. I recently made some built in bookshelves for our new house and I have a few 3/4 strips of birch plywood left over from tearing off the sheets. I used leftovers to create a small storage rack in my garage. I decided to try this edging to cover the edges. Since the glue was already applied, everything went smoothly. I spread the tape along my project and…
