I got this monitor to up my Halo Infinite game on the X series - this monitor definitely did its job. I highly recommend that all heavy players switch from 60fps to 120fps - 1v1 fights are easier with fewer "how the hell did I lose that fight" moments. This monitor is perfect for gaming if you're willing to sacrifice image quality (I prefer to win nice graphics, but others may have different priorities). For anything other than gaming, this monitor is not a good choice. The TN panel (and general blurriness/lack of image quality typical of TN) doesn't lend itself to long-term work - I often adjust my viewing angle or struggle to read text, and occasionally notice eye strain like my IPS doesn't create. So, I use my IPS for work, my BenQ Zowie TN for gaming - problem solved. Ideal for games; If you're looking for a competitive edge in frame rates, this is 100%. Just note that this is not a generic monitor.
