COMCAST Customers Read Before Buying

I thought I would be smart to buy this modem with a new doc.sis and eliminate Comcast's monthly fee. It worked fine for about 2 months then lost the ability to connect to the internet. Problems: 1. Doesn't work with AT&T microcells, which we really need in our area (much better than Wi-Fi calling). Troubleshoot AT&T and Comcast but never got it to work.2. Stopped surfing the web suddenly one morning after surfing the web for 2 hours with no problems. Caught the question "Is this a Netgear or Comcast problem". After 3+ hours of phone calls, including a conference call with both companies, I decided to reinstall the Comcast modem to see if it worked (to prove the problem was Netgear's). The Internet connection was set up quickly and worked great, Microcell was also connected to the network. So now I have a useless $400 modem. If I ever have nothing to do all weekend I might try again to fix the bug before I give up, but this was a real disappointment. I liked the software interface with Asus A3100 much more. After all, this thing is huge. Please check the measurements before purchasing. To get the antennas in the right direction I had to hang them on the wall, which is really annoying.
