Review on 🔍 NuScan1000U - Handheld USB Contact CCD Barcode Scanner by Adesso by Chris Kirby

As mentioned in other reviews, this product does not come with a CD but you can program different options by scanning the barcodes in the manual. All of the default settings worked fine on my Intel iMac. Installation was as easy as plugging in a USB cable. The Mac will then display a dialog stating that it cannot recognize the keyboard that is currently connected. Cancel this dialog as it is not a keyboard. Then I launched Text Edit and scanned some ISBNs (I'm a bookseller) and made sure they read perfectly. I then started my book database (BookHound 6.0) and started a new entry that brings up a dialog for entering the ISBN in this software. I scanned the book, immediately saw the code entered and the new entry stood up normally. This is a wonderful tool. Don't you like it when everything works the first time? Then I went a bit crazy and used software barcodes to change the beep to a longer one and that worked too. One of my best side experiences.
