I recommend using one of the Smith's Pocket Pal sharpeners for field use, tackle boxes etc and also recommend this stone for your knives for the ultimate sharpness . I like them because they do a good job and don't cost you an arm and a leg. They are compact, easy to carry, easy to hold and not bulky like many other larger stones. The perfect tool when you are in the woods and need to utilize the space. I have found that with a small amount of grinding oil this stone will last a long time. It is also one of the best fish hook sharpeners.
