I love gadgets, but I'm picky. This tripod/monopod/selfie stick combo really works for me. So far it has been a good product with only one downside. If you're looking for something to fit in a woman's purse or bag, this isn't it. I didn't care as I would most likely carry it in the car or just keep it at home. The main points I like are the following: 1. It is strong and stable. At least plastic parts.2. It comes with cellphone and gopro adapters.3. The legs of the tripod can be detached very quickly and easily without tools, turning it into a straight selfie stick.4. The remote control instantly connected to my Android (Motorola) phone.5. The remote shutter can be attached to your keychain so you never lose it (unless you lose your car keys). The remote control is quite small, so losing it is a serious consideration.6. The attachment point on the head is a standard 1/4" screw, which means it can be attached to any camera.7. The release on each of the telescoping segments is positive and if you look closely at the shaft it is flattened on the side to keep the shaft from twisting. This adds stability.8. The phone holder is spring loaded and secure enough that attaching and removing the phone is quick and easy without drama. My Motorola Moto Z4 has a very thick rear speaker system and that's not a problem.
