The display was not working properly, temperature readings were inconsistent

I ordered this fridge thermometer and it was not working properly. I thought maybe I just got a bad one so I sent it back and ordered another one. Again he had the same two problems. I am sending this second one back and will be looking for another model. Two problems: 1) I was able to set the maximum and minimum temperatures and these temperatures seemed to be saved, but the display showed the wrong temperatures. For example, in setup mode, if I set the max temp to 44, that temp seemed to be saved, but when I exited setup mode to go to basic settings mode, the max temp was shown as 76. For four different maximum and minimum temperatures, apparently he showed a random number. 2) On average, it seemed to track the correct temperature, but sometimes it fluctuated even with the fridge/freezer door closed. My freezer is 0 degrees and 20 minutes later it's 10 degrees. I would set the alarm for 10 degrees, so in this case it would ring even though the freezer (according to the built-in freezer thermometer) is 0 degrees. When he recorded the correct temperature, the alarm function worked. I love the design - if everything worked properly I think this alarm would be perfect.
