The cross is soft and does not click. The minus button is too soft and the L triggers are too clicky compared to the original joystick. Be sure to read the description. It doesn't have all the functionality of a regular joystick and may not work with some games. However, it works very well with retro 2D games. That's great. I tried it with Stardew Valley and Moonlighter and was impressed. As stated in my disclaimer, there is an odd bump next to the release button on the back. So if you use a shell for your switch it will not fit properly as this raised area is not on a regular joycon.
