Review on Liquitex Professional Flow Effects Medium by Kelly Caballes

Used it to dye (yes, dyed!) my dirty old Ugg boots.

Hi guys, I used this product to turn my acrylic paint into "fabric paint". I mixed equal parts this product + acrylic paint and started painting my very dirty Uggs (what can I say, I won't buy another pair of Uggs over $200 if I spend $15 on accessories can make them look like new again! ). I'll post a photo of the result (understand, I didn't paint it very carefully, but I think it's still good). A few notes in case you decide to try it yourself. 1) If you omit the liquitex and only use acrylic paint, your uggs will feel like cardboard. Do not do that. 2) Before you begin, stuff the socks into the ugg boots to help them hold their shape. 3) You can use a higher Liquitex to color ratio (more Liquitex, less color), the consistency of the color will be thinner, but the result will be softer after drying. 4) Let them dry for a full 24 hours. and then heat with a hair dryer and fix the color. After all that I plan to spray them with waterproofing (I ordered it here, it's called Kiwi Camp Dry. It'll arrive tomorrow so we'll see if it works!). Oh yes, I also ordered new Ugg insoles from Revain for about $15 to keep the innards feeling brand new). Hope this helps someone! By the way, you can use any paint color you like. I used Martha Stewart Satin Sycamore Bark.
