I noticed that there are no photos in these reviews, so I've attached a few of them here. As you can see they are nice and compact (a dollar bill for size comparison in the photos), very light and feel solid. They don't open easily, which I like. You don't want that thing folding and unfolding while you're trying to display them. Also included is a strap, pouch, lens cleaner and instructions. The band and case are not up to date or anything. but they do their job. As described, the eyecups rotate up and down - I took a picture of one eyecup fully extended and the other rotated all the way down. Porro prism binoculars are probably inherently brighter than roof prism binoculars. I don't have a set of Porro 8x25 prisms to compare so I can't say for sure. I can say that they give a good, bright and clear picture. Disclaimer, I am not an ornithologist or any binoculars expert. This is my first set that I wanted for hiking and hunting. This 5 star rating isn't because they're the most amazing binoculars out there, it's because they get the job done at a great price. If you're looking for a small, durable pair of binoculars, this is a great choice.
