Review on Gabriel 69901 Passenger Select Models by Mark Albright

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I would not recommend this product.

Made in China Shock absorbers, brackets and fasteners. The hardware is marked metric class 8.8, but you wouldn't believe it. Large burrs remain on the threads of the bottom nut, and the deformed heads on two of the four mounting bolts look suspicious. Also, the nut that holds the upper shock shaft is improperly formed and will not hold the shock in place. Also cheap pads. I used original equipment to be on the safe side as Volvo equipment is top notch and even used but still way better than Gabriel's junk. If the shock absorbers last 2 years, I will switch to Bilstein or Koni. That's a big if. If they don't last 2 years I'll change them anyway. I would definitely not buy these again.

Cons
