Final materials, tools and instructions for 2 layer epoxy garage floor

I did a lot of homework online before applying this product and I have to say it turned out fantastic. I ended up applying two coats 72 hours apart and the floor was AMAZING! I'm glad I applied two coats because after the first one I could see some areas I missed or didn't apply enough paint. I have a 20 x 22 foot 2 car garage, but it was almost enough for a 3 car garage. The total cost of the project was about $350 in tools and materials. Follow the temperature guide, read all the instructions, and here are the best application steps I've found: Brush Wooster R232-9 Epoxy coat the roller, 1/4" pile, 9" 1 roller Premier 69730 plastic cloth , 9' x 12' , 3-pack 4 x Rust-Oleum 215173 EPOXYShield Concrete Patch, 24 oz 1 x Rust-Oleum 214382 EPOXYShield Heavy Duty Degreaser, 32 oz 1 x ProTapes Pro Scenic 714 Crepe Paper 14 Day Easy Release Painters Masking Tape, 60 yards long x 1" wide, blue (1-pack) TOOLS: 1 x plastic watering can 1 x 5 gallon bucket 1 x Weiler 44026 Palmyra Fill Deck Scrub Brush with Wood Block, overall length 10" 2 x 3" plastic knives ( Home Depot sells them for about $3 each in a batch) 1 x Shur-Line 12400 Teflon Metal Paint Pan 1 x Wooster Brush R017-9 Sherlock Roller Frame, 9" 1 x Mr. Long Arm 3212 Pro-Pole Extension , 6ft to 12ft 1 x Hyde 46455 paint can/bottle opener 4 paint pens (available free from Home Depot) 1 x STANLEY BPST07223 Comfort Grip Brush Set Polyester 3 1 x Stanley 10-099 6" Classic 99 Retractable Utility Knife 1) REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM THE GARAGE (this was the hardest step). I ended up moving stuff from both garage bays after initially thinking I was going to do one half of the garage and then the other half, but to be honest it just doubles the time it takes to get the job done. Our house and porch were full of people for about a week. 2) ENERGY WASHING OF THE GARAGE FLOOR. I rented a gas washing machine, not an electric one. Gasoline is stronger. [WAIT 24 HOURS FOR FLOOR SUCTION] 3) FILL CRACKS IN GARAGE WITH A CONCRETE PATCH. Not only did I fill in the gaps, I also filled in the parting lines that collect all the dirt. So I wanted a completely level floor in the garage and flooded everything. Each box fills approximately 1.5 inches per 10 to 12 feet. I used 4 boxes. The concrete pavement is an epoxy resin. I used a medium sized piece of cardboard and fully mixed components A and B for each box. You only have about 20 minutes before the patch gets too hard, so act fast. I used a disposable fondant knife, stirred until it was the same color and poured into the cracks. all drops immediately. The best way I've found is to put some on your puddy knife and use the angle of the knife to drop the patch into the crack and then scrape off the top. , Dries in 8 hours [8 HOURS LATER OR THE NEXT DAY] 3) WET THE FLOOR AND APPLY DEGREASER AND CLEANER The degreaser and cleaner worked wonders on both the lawn mower grass stains and all the oil stains from my 1984 Blazer. I applied half a bay at a time and scrubbed vigorously 4) RINSE THOROUGHLY Make sure all degreaser is removed. I made sure everything went down the drain but according to the packaging the cleaner activates in time and is safe to flush in about 15 minutes. Some got into my weed and I haven't noticed any change, but obviously that can't be a good thing. 5) WET THE GARAGE FLOOR AND USE A PLASTIC WATER MIXTURE AND SPREAD THE CONCRETE. This pack comes with its own etching. The soil needs to stay moist, and they suggest making a 10' x 10' piece at a time. You will literally see a brief "smoke" from the effects of the acid etch. Be careful when rinsing. Use plenty of water before pushing out the garage, but I ran into grass again and that didn't seem to do anything. 6) APPLY TAPE. Cover the edges of the garage with masking tape to make painting easier, then apply the paint with a roller. [WAIT 24 HOURS FOR CONCRETE TO DRY BEFORE FINAL COATING] 6) APPLY FIRST COAT OF COAT. At this point, there should be no dust or dirt on the floor, otherwise wash the floor again, dry it and continue. The paint comes in 2 gallons (Part B I believe) and 2 smaller cans, Part A. Take the large gallon jars, open the paint, or mark the paint level with the paint in the gallon. Then mix both gallons in a 5 gallon bucket, making sure the colors are exactly the same color. After a few minutes of mixing, use a paint stick to pour the paint back into the gallon containers to the desired height. You now have two gallon containers of exactly the same color. Add a portion of the epoxy to one of the gallons, stir for about 5 minutes, then refer to the temperature chart in the instructions. Normally you have to wait a few minutes before painting. Pour into a paint tray on a plastic cloth and apply with a brush and roller. Move pretty fast because you only have an hour of vitality. Start by brushing the edges and then curling. I ended up painting about a quarter of the garage bay at a time even though it was supposed to be a 4' x 4' section. Keep a wet edge and keep moving. Be casual with the roller to avoid streaks. *IF YOU ARE ONLY APPLYING ONE COAT, REMOVE COLOR PAINT ON QUALITY AND ADD SURE TO ADD A GALLON OF PAINT ANTI-SLIP MATERIAL BEFORE YOU START** EPOXY MIX FOOD DESTROYS. [WAIT AND PLEASE 72 HOURS. YOU CAN WALK ON IT FOR 12 HOURS]7) APPLY A SECOND COAT OF COAT. Add 1 pack of anti-slip per gallon of paint this time. When painting, discard pieces of decorative paint. They ensure a beautiful finish and conceal imperfections in the paintwork. WAIT 12 HOURS TO UNDERSTAND IT, 24 HOURS TO MOVE THE TOUGHEST GOODS AND 72 HOURS FOR CARS. Remember not to turn the steering wheel too much in the garage. Eventually it will be on the floor somewhere 8) Drinking beer and enjoying compliments from friends, neighbors and family.
