A good quality biodegradable/compostable bag to fill a large compost bin with...

In this state, composting is on the books, in the law books. We cannot throw food waste, except bones, in the regular trash, we have to put it on our own compost heap. If not, we have to take our waste to the transfer station. These 4 to 6 gallon bags are biodegradable/compostable and perfect for my needs. They are made from high-quality PSM (cornstarch) and are fully compostable in 180 days, not years. I usually get green bags so the people who handle this waste know it's biodegradable. I'm sure you're familiar with a variety of bags. "Appearance" is something special. They will accept them in their food containers but ban plastic. When used, it's like defeating a person who has to pull them out of the trash can. They're not labeled like some bags, but I think they'll be fine. I chose to use them in my large green compost bin and they are a great size. These 4 to 6 gallon bags are likely less than 1 mil thick and are easily punctured. I usually line the container with a double layer to make sure it doesn't leak. I still have plastic on hand, but I prefer to use it because I know it goes to a large composting block. They're not cheap, but the cost of using plastic that pollutes landfill is high. They're thinner than some, but still decent.
